With all the ways people stay connected these days, protecting one's privacy seems to be getting increasingly difficult. Luckily, Android users can control who can and cannot contact them at the touch of a button. Whether you're dealing with a crazy ex or pesky telemarketers, there's an option that's right for you.
Method 1 of 3: Blocking the Number Completely
- 1Click on the icon that says "Phone" on your main screen.Ad
- 2Click on the entry for the number you want to block under "logs.
- 3Press the menu button on your phone.
- 4Select add to "reject list.
Method 2 of 3: Block a Number From the Settings Menu on the Samsung Galaxy S3
- 1Start on your home screen. Go to Phone >> Menu >> Call settings >> Call rejections >> Auto reject list.
- 2Block all Unknown calls. If you want to prevent any Unknown caller from contacting you, simply select the box that says Unknown.
- 3Block specific numbers. To block one phone number or existing contact at a time, select the Create option and then enter the number or contact you wish to block.
- When you are finished, press Done to save the changes.
Method 3 of 3: Block a Number From the Contacts App on the Samsung Galaxy S3
- 1Open up the Contacts app. Select the user you want to block.
- If the number isn't already saved as a contact, do that now. We recommend putting a "Z" or number "0-9" at the beginning of the name so that it will show up at the bottom of your contact list.
- 2Select Menu >> Add to Rejects List. This will automatically direct calls from this number to voicemail.
